Fit and buy

Can I try on and buy the boots somewhere?
It is possible to visit us by appointment in the fitting room.
You can make an appointment by sending us an email or calling us.
How do I know if the boots fit?
You have your own foot and calf size and your personal preferences. It is our goal that your Boots&Woods boots meet all your expectations and therefore fit your feet and calves well. The fit is indicated for each model, so you can see how the boot fits for each model: average, slightly larger or slightly smaller. We also state the (inside) circumference of the shaft and the length of the shaft measured from the insole of the heel for each model. Some models are available in an extra calf size. It is also possible to stretch the shaft slightly if the shaft is a bit too narrow. We are happy to do this for you in an expert manner. It should be noted that handmade boots can always deviate from the standard and per batch in terms of color and size. If in doubt, always email us and we can carry out some checks together.

Complaints

What should I do in case of a complaint?

If you have a complaint about a product you have purchased, send an email directly to the info mail with an attachment, a clear photo together with an explanation of your complaint.

Your complaint will be assessed on the basis of the photos and explanation and we will inform you about this. A suitable solution will be sought.

Product not in stock

What can I do if a product is not in stock?
We always strive to deliver your boots quickly from our stock. It is of course possible that your size is (temporarily) sold out. This is clearly stated in the article. When you then click on the relevant size of the article, a text screen will appear that you can fill in and send to us. We will then answer you as soon as possible about the delivery time for this product.

Product information

What is meant by the Goodyear sole technology?
Less than 1% of all footwear made worldwide still has a sewn last. The Boots&Woods boots are made with the Goodyear Welt© method, i.e. sewn over the entire last. Unlike glued soles, a flexible framework is sewn to the midsole. This makes the boot much more flexible and therefore ensures a fatigue-free run. In a period of approximately 15 wearing days, the shoe adapts completely to the anatomy of the foot, and not the other way around. In the ventilating, water-resistant cork layer between the insole and outsole, the foot itself ensures that the individual shape of the foot is pressed and retained: a wonderfully comfortable footbed that also naturally insulates against moisture and rising cold.
What is meant by the Sympatex© liner of the All Weather Boot?
Sympatex© is a breathable synthetic fiber produced in Germany that is used in high-quality Outdoor & Footwear items to make them water and wind resistant. The plastic Sympatex membrane is attached directly behind the leather of the Outdoor Boots in a separate process, making the boot water and wind resistant. Because Sympatex© has no pores, the breathability of the fiber is not affected by dirt or salt crystals.
Do you have boots with a wide shaft?
Several models are also available in wider shaft sizes. You will find these models under the menu item Wide shaft models. In addition, a number of models can also be made to (calf) size.
How do I care for my boots?

All models (except All Weather Boot model):

All Boots&Woods boots are made of 100% leather. Leather is porous so it can breathe, it is water-repellent but not waterproof.

If your boots are often exposed to moisture, it is therefore advisable to treat your boots every now and then with natural wax in thin layers. This not only keeps them looking neat and shiny, it also protects them against water and scratches. For boots in light colors, the use of wax should be kept to a minimum to prevent stains.

Boots made of naturally tanned leather (eg Escala and Polo Bronce) may only be treated with natural wax.

A water and dirt repellent spray can be used for suede boots. These boots can be further maintained with a suede / nubuck brush.

Patent leather boots can be maintained with Woly Lac Mousse and Lac Patent; As a result, patent leather remains nice and supple, is nourished and shines nicely again. Small scratches and cracks can also be removed with this.

If your boots are wet, never dry them in front of the stove or any other heat source, but let them dry gradually at room temperature.

We recommend using boot trees to store your boots.

Model All Weather Boat

The All Weather Boot from Boots&Woods is made of the highest quality calf leather and fully lined with a Sympatex© synthetic fiber membrane (see more information below), which makes the boots resistant. For the best functionality of the Sympatex© lining, it is important that the boots continue to breathe. If your boots are often exposed to damp conditions, you can use a water-repellent spray that does not affect the breathability of the leather. This is indicated on the bus with a HIGH-TEX© or GORE-TEX© label.

A good choice is Collonil Nanopro. It is also important that the boots are not clogged too much with wax/grease or shoe polish. We recommend using a neutral wax and applying it in thin layers every now and then.

Sympatex© is a breathable synthetic fiber produced in Germany (www.sympatex.com) that is used in high-quality Outdoor & Footwear applications to make them water and windproof. The plastic Sympatex membrane is attached directly behind the leather of the All Weather Boot in a separate process, making the boot resistant. Because Sympatex © has no pores, the breathability of the fiber is not affected by dirt or salt crystals.

The combination of our traditional handmade boot and Sympatex lining makes our boots water resistant. We do not provide a waterproof guarantee.
